today I was walking from London Bridge to my new home in EC1 and I thought to myself as I crossed Blackfriar's bridge 'I love this place'. It is also then that I thought that when I stop saying this it will mean its time to leave. Until then however I will love this place and appreciate its offerings.

last weekend in camden...

this weekend marks the end of living in camden and I am happy about this. Camden has so many tourists it's hard to stroll down the street and grab a coffee without being stopped by people randomly taking photos of this and that... can be frustrating. After an afternoon of it, headed to the new surrounds of Angel and upper street. We found a cool mexican place Chilangos and even went back for seconds it was just that good! loving the new area lots of cute boutiques and bars and places to eat. yay :)

beautiful weekend in London

who said theres no summer in london? this weekend its been proper with sunshine and everything!

spent saturday in the lovely Holland Park with its cute pigs... proper english countryside... ate scotch eggs with salad cream and drank pimms...

also in camden earlier that day enjoyed and impromptu tribute- a small parade of eccentrics playing 'valerie' full blast while passer by's looked on (some danced along...) even though Im not real sure of the point of it all, they had a sign that said 'love music hate racism' a good message by all accounts. Man I love living in camden. Today I cruised down there again for some sushi tunes and bloody marys... mmm bright green algae in the canal brightens adds a little something to the area!

Greek islands- PAXOS & ANTIPAXOS

a few days back from holidaying in the greek islands- the ones near corfu to be more precise.

The beaches in Antipaxos- tiny island next to Paxos have been compared with ones in the carribean! with water that amazingly blue I am not surprised!!!

life is pretty good for clemmence & apart from mistaking

she is probably the coolest cat in krakow.

Royal Weekend
drinking champagne with raspberries no less while watching the royal nuptial with sis on the couch in our pj's was the weekend's finest moment. It just got better from there including a royal tour of our own, one that the queen would be proud of. Not really, but it was a good effort on a windy day as my scarf was flaying wildly and pollen was showering down in St James. We saw the flags, we saw the famed balcony (place of famed royal kiss) and it was enough to make anyone feel patriotic, especially with a stroll past the household cavalry (ok and a quick photo) A royal weekend indeed, bring on the bunting...

gigs & new music

last week went to a random gig at koko in camden. It was a girl with a powerful voice- Claire McGuire, she reminded me of Marina and the Diamonds. We also saw Mona a cool newly discovered band (well newly discovered by me anyway..) Its always a fun night at koko, such a great venue and it was nice to celebrate Australia day there with our mate all the way from there visiting.

A happy new year

well 2010 is well and truly history, and for me it ended with lots of christmas cheer, snow and well the flu. This year I wish for good health to all. xx
